For the past year, we have worked together, along with Orange County Office of Make a Wish Foundation, the rest of our executive board and the whole Greek Community, in order to support the Make a Wish Foundation. Make Wish is a foundation that is committed to granting the wishes of children with life threatening conditions and to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. With countless events throughout the year, to our corporate sponsors and generous donors, we would like to applaud all the donors who contributed to our cause. We would like to thank the Panhellenic Association, Irvine Lanes, Yerba Mate, Ali & Ariel, Greek Life Threads, and Kendra Scott, and many others for their generous contributions. On behalf of Greek Songfest, we would like to thank you all and we hope to see you next year!
Greek Songfest has the ability to enhance the UCI experience for all students by providing an opportunity to be a part of something bigger than themselves. As leaders, we are dedicated to take Greek life to the next level and leave our legacy.
Greek Songfest at UC Irvine is a yearlong philanthropic endeavor that was established by members of the UC Irvine Greek community. Our mission is to foster a more unified relationship with our student body and alumni, as well as the Irvine and Orange County communities. The prosperity of Greek Songfest is attributed to the universality and inclusiveness of musical theater and altruism.
The culmination of our efforts as a community is showcased in a Broadway inspired show that will take place May 4th, 2018 at the Bren Events Center. University students perform renditions of various musicals to promote appreciation for the arts and to highlight the triumphs of the human spirit through song and dance. We invite parents, students, alumni and community members to celebrate the endeavors of our Greek community and enjoy the production as we showcase our member’s vast talents. We believe that the essence of philanthropy lies in its ability to unite people of all walks of life by challenging them to pursue acts of benevolence that extend beyond their own interests.
